Company CAD Standards information data file

This data file is used to store information for Managers to control standards used by the company.
These file is used to standardize the AutoCAD environment at a company.

This file must be located in the \Data folder.

Note - new sheets, rows and columns may be added when new features are added to FireSysCAD

Information about coloring in the data file -

Yellow these cells have text used by the FireSysCAD software and may NOT be changed

Layers sheet
This sheet is used to store User layer information.
User layers are managed by a Layer Control Name and this unique name may not be changed.
Information -
   Layer Control Name -
      FireSysCAD determined value used to find and control user layer names
   Layer Name -
      User determined layer name
      Note - wire and cable layers get additional suffixes to allow for unique layer for each circuit
   Layer Single -
      Single verses multiple layering (No = multiple lines for use with circuit wires and cables only)
   Layer Color -
      color assigned to the layer
   Layer Linetype -
      linetype assigned to the layer
      user can control line pattern in FSC.lin file or acad.lin file
   Plot/No plot -
      determines whether layer is plotted or not
   Layer Description -
      text input into layer for information purposes only

UserData sheet
This sheet is used to store information about specific users – osnap settings, default printer and dialog box height.
Information -
   Windows logon name -
      Windows login name used to determine settings
   User Osnap Settings -
      Running Osnap values (first 3 letters of osnap value, separated by commas)
   User Default Printer -
      Name of user's default printer (as seen in AutoCAD Print command)
   User Default Dialog Box Height -
      Default height of some of the dialog boxes (example - IB command
      If you get error message 'Dialog too large to fit on screen', then change value to small number
      Maximum value is around 62
   User Default Dialog Box Width -
      Default width of some of the dialog boxes (example - FSC command
   User Default Block Insertion Method -
      Default IB command insertion method (must be a valid method - A, 1, S, M, etc.)

Text Styles sheet
This sheet is used to maintain consistent text style information for all drawings.
Information -
   Text Style -
      name of style
   Font name -
      font name (must be SHX or TTF files and be available in AutoCAD STYLE command)
   Text height -
      0=variable height, height or yes for annotative text (annotative text not test)
   Text width factor -
      width factor (less than 1.0 iwll make text skinnier)
   Text oblique angle -
      oblique angle (similar to leroy font)
   Text backwards -
      text backwards (for reverse printing)
   Text upside-down -
      text upside-down (for reverse printing)
   Text vertical -
      vertical text
   Default style -
       only 1 allowed

Managers sheet
This sheet is used to store the list of Users that are allowed to run specific FireSysCAD programs that are for management only.
Information -
   List of CAD Managers -
      managers allowed to run manager programs
      add additional columns and user windows login name for additional managers

Scale Factors sheet
This sheet is used to store the scale factors allowed in the drawing. The scale factor is used to size device blocks, text, dimensions, leaders, etc. in the drawing model space.
Information -
   Scale Factor -
      numeric scale factor (as used by LTSCALE or DIMSCALE)
   Scale Text -
      text values to show user when setting drawing scale factor

Messages sheet
This sheet is used to store specific messages used by FireSysCAD software. Example – when there is a problem with Sheet information a message can tell users who to contact to have information checked and changed.
Information -
   Message Control Name - name of message (FireSysCAD determined - must not be changed)
      Contact CAD Manager Message -
         message used to tell users who to contact when problems arise
      Node Parts Note -
         message input in PARTS command for Node Parts
      Node Voltage Note -
         message input in PARTS command for Node Parts that have more than one Voltage Power Type
      Notify Parts Note -
         message input in PARTS command for NAC Parts
      Notify Style Note -
         message input in PARTS command for NAC Parts that have more than one NAC Style
      Notify Speaker Note -
         message input in PARTS command for NAC Parts that have more than one Watt value
      Wire Legend Note -
         message input in SWL command
      NEC Parts Note -
         message input in PARTS command for Low Voltage Parts
   Message Value -
      Message inserted into drawing

Attributes sheet
This sheet is used to store the names of Attributes used be sheet commands.
Information -
   Detail Bubble Attribute Name -
      attribute name in Detail blocks showing Detail Number
   Sheet Drawing Title Attribute -
      attribute name in Title blocks showing  Drawing Title
   Sheet Drawing Title Number -
      attribute name in Title blocks showing  Drawing Number

Company Specific Blocks sheet
This sheet is used to store names of blocks used by FireSysCAD software.
Information -
   Block Control Name -
      FireSysCAD determined value used to find and control user company blocks
   Block Name -
      name of the block used

Object Paint sheet
This sheet is used to store color number and name used to paint objects.
Information -
   Object Type -
      FireSysCAD determined value used to find and control object painting
   Color Number Dark Background -
      color number (may not be a true color)
   Color Name Dark Background -
      used to show color during commands
   Color Number Light Background -
      color number (may not be a true color)
   Color Name Light Background -
      used to show color during commands

Setvar sheet
This sheet is used to store AutoCAD Setvar values to be set each time a drawing is opened. Test in AutoCAD prior to adding to Standards file.
Information -
   Setvar Name -
      setvar name used by AutoCAD
   Setvar Value -
      the value input during command (must match Setvar Type)
   Setvar Type -
      Integer, Real, String or List of coordinates

Settings sheet
This sheet is used to store FireSysCAD drawing settings
Information -
   Log File On-Off -
      used to track command usage by user
      a file name 'DrawingName.log' is created in current project folder if value set to Yes
   Maximum Distance -
      The maximum distance between device block and circuit vertex
      Value to determine if a device block is at the vertex of circuits
   Proximity Distance -
      search distance between device block and circuit vertex to find blocks near circuit vertexes
   Show 1st Info Message -
      show information dialog box at beginning of some command (example - IB, NBC, etc.)
   SLC Device Number Separator -
      separator value between SLC device numbers (example 1-1-D001, 1.1.D001)
      if the cell is blank, there will not be a separator (typically only used for Edwards SLC circuits)
   Other Device Number Separator -
      separator value between device numbers (for NAC, Speaker, Aux. Power and Telephone circuits)
   Visual-Audible Device Number Prefix -
      previously set to V, current default is N
   Drawing List Header Textstyle -
      Textstyle of header text (must be in FSC_Standards->Textstyles)
   Drawing List Header Text Height -
      Text height of Drawing List Table header text
   Drawing List Header Text -
